Gaming laptop under 600 dollars
Hey, what’s up, everybody. Let’s talk about some laptops or gaming laptops. In this post, I have listed the 10 best gaming laptop under 600 dollars.
Now I’ll be completely honest with you that laptops don’t have a good price to performance ratio especially when it comes to gaming.
Unless you need a portable gaming device, I highly recommend you guys to build a decent gaming PC even if you are on a budget. As you’ll get far more performance out of a tower PC versus a laptop.
Another thing worth mentioning is that any gaming laptop under 600 will not have a dedicated graphics card, but rather they rely on their CPU’s integrated graphics processor to play games.
Now that doesn’t mean that they suck or can’t game because they absolutely can play games. But you should not expect all games to run at 1080p. For some games, you will have to downscale the resolution to 900 or even 720p.
But on the bright side, these are the top of the line latest integrated GPU’s that we’ll be talking about.

Review of the best cheap gaming laptops under 600 dollars of 2020
10. 2020 Newest Dell Inspiron 14 inch Laptop
So number 10, we have the Dell Inspiron 2020 premium 14-inch laptop. It has a quad-core i5-1035G4 processor with a boost clock of 3.7 gigahertz. In terms of memory and storage, it has 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram and 256 gigabytes of SSD storage. The resolution of this laptop is 1366 by 768-pixel display. So it’s not full 1080p.
let’s talk about that processor since it’s what we’ll be doing most of the work for the gaming. It’s an i5-1035G4. So its 10th gen, which is the latest version of Intel chips and it comes with Iris Plus graphics.
Now, the interesting thing about this is that Intel claims that their new Iris plus graphics in their 10th gen CPUs will be able to play 1080p games at 2 times faster frame rates. Which, I think it compared to the last generation. This means that this computer will be able to run lower demanding games like Overwatch, Minecraft, Rocket League Roblox, etc at 60 frames per second.
integrated GPU has come a long way and this is a huge step for Intel here. So this Dell laptop can play games. Now because this laptop has a display that is only 1366 by 768 pixels, you won’t even need to worry about playing at 1080p. So you’ll get desirable frame rates with this gaming laptop under 600 dollars.
Make sure you’re playing at your native resolution or lower when you’re gaming on this computer. Don’t accidentally upscale the 1080p because that won’t give you any benefit.
Talking about ports, it has 1 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI, 2 USB 3.0s, an SD card reader, 1 Ethernet port, and 1 3.5 millimeter headphone jack.
9. Lenovo Ideapad 3 15.6inch 2020 model
Next on this gaming laptop under 600 dollars list, we have the 2020 Lenovo Ideapad 3 laptop. Its display is 15.6 inches, but it only has a resolution of 1366 by 768, which translates to a bit above 720p.
Now you can look at this two ways. one being, it’s a low resolution, so the picture obviously won’t be as crisp. And two, since the resolution isn’t 1080p you will be getting higher frame rates on the plane.
This one has an Intel CPU and an integrated GPU. But don’t let that turn you off from this laptop. As intel’s 10th gen GPUs are actually really good and seriously compete with the Ryzen Vega 6 and 8 graphics.
So this Lenovo Ideapad in specific has the intel i3 1005g1 that clocks up to 3.4 gigahertz. It also has 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram that runs at 2666 megahertz and a 512-gigabyte SSD.
So this laptop like you’d expect can run those lower demanding games especially because you won’t have to be worrying about the 1080p since this laptop doesn’t have a display of that resolution. Now for the higher demanding stuff, obviously to get a playable frame rate, you’ll have to play at 720p likely at the lowest settings.
For the ports, there’s 1 HDMI, 3 USB type A’s, and an SD card reader. Again no ethernet port so you’ll definitely want to get an adapter if you don’t have a stable WIFI connection.
8. HP 15-DY1036NR 15-inch FHD Laptop
Next up in number 8 in the gaming laptop under 600 budget list, we have the HP 15-DY1036NR. So this laptop packs a 15.6-inch full HD 1080p screen just like the Acer Aspire 3.
It has a quad-core i5-1035G1 with a boost clock of 3.6 gigahertz. And 8 gigabytes of RAM. So like the Dell Inspiron laptop we discussed, this has the Intel 10th generation integrated graphics, which is pretty decent like I said.
If you take a look here, it seems that the i5 in this laptop is better than the i5 in the Dell Inspiron as well. It’s only a roughly 5% performance difference. But if we’re talking about mediocre chips like these, that it’s a kind of significant chunk of performance.
So just keep that in mind similar to the last laptop, this should be able to run pretty much all low demanding games like Minecraft, Roblox, Rocket League, etc at around 60 frames per second at 1080p. And then if you want to play something a bit more demanding like Overwatch or League you might want to downscale to 900 or 720p.
Finally, for ports, it has 2 USB 3.1s, an SD card reader, 1 HDMI port, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. Now, surprisingly there is a no Ethernet port. So that’s something to keep in mind if you purchase this.
7. Acer Aspire 5 slim laptop
Next up, we have the Acer Aspire 5 slim laptop with a 15.6 inches FullHD 1080p display. The laptop comes with 8th generation I5-8265U with a boost clock of 3.9 gigahertz. 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram and a 256 gigabyte SSD.
So once again very similar specs to the last laptops we discussed with the exception being of course the CPU.
This one has the I5-8265U, which will only set you back about 5 percent performance-wise compared to the 10th gen and the other laptops according to the CPU benchmark.
Also, it has Intel graphics 620. Intel 620 graphics are not the best. So if you’re planning on playing games other than Minecraft, Roblox, or Rocket League or other extremely low demanding games I suggest you don’t pick up this one.
But the pros of this laptop is that it has an IPS panel. So you’re gonna get the most accurate colors with the screen. You won’t have to worry about what angle you’re looking at the screen from.
For ports, you get Ethernet, HDMI, 2 USB 3.1, 1 USB-C, and 1 USB 2.0. So the typical ones you usually find.
6. 2020 HP 17.3 inch laptop
Number 6 in the gaming laptop under 600 budget list, we have the 2020 HP 17.3 inch laptop. It has the 8th gen I5-8265U, 8 gigabytes of DDR4 Ram and 256 gigabytes of SSD storage.
So it’s the I5-8265U. It’s the same processor as the Acer Aspire 5 slim laptop. Meaning it has the same Intel 620 graphics. Also, it has a boost clock of 3.9 gigahertz and a 1.6 gigahertz at the base clock
The screen size is 17.3 inches. But unfortunately, it is not 1080p. Which is surprising. Instead, it only has 1600 by 900-pixel display. So it looks like at least with this laptop the big pro is having a larger screen but the downside is you don’t get full 1080p.
So in terms of its gaming performance, just like the rest, we’ve discussed this one is pretty lackluster. Intel 620 graphic isn’t the most desirable GPU. But it gets the job done for low demanding titles like I’ve mentioned for a couple of times.
Another pro but con at the same time with this gaming laptop under 600 budget is, it doesn’t have a full 1080p. So as long as you play it your native resolution, you can expect to see higher frame rates at the cost of not being able to play at 1080p.

Best 5 Gaming laptop under 600 dollars
5. Acer Aspire 5 A515-44-R41B
Number five, we have the Acer Aspire 5 A515-44-R41B. It has a 15.6 inch 1080p IPS display. Meaning that you’ll not only be getting full HD, but you’ll also get a decent screen size for gaming. Also, it’ll produce accurate colors, since it utilizes IPS technology.
As for the internals, it has a Ryzen 5 4500U. A six-core processor that can boost up to 4Ghz. Now, this is the part that will do the work for gaming. Since it contains the Vega 8 graphics processor, which is the integrated GPU.
Now, the Ryzen 4000 series was only recently released. So you’re getting the latest integrated graphics tech here.
With this Vega 8 processor, you’ll of course be able to run lower demanding games like rocket league, Roblox, Minecraft, etc at 1080p with 60 and above frames per second. And for higher demanding games like Fortnite, Grand theft auto, or fall guys, you’ll likely have to drop the lowest graphics settings or lower the resolution.
This Acer gaming laptop under 600 dollars, also comes with 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram and 256 gigabytes of SSD storage, which is perfect for gaming.
Talking about ports, it has one USB-C, two USB 3.2, one USB 2.0, an ethernet port, and one HDMI port in case you want to use a monitor or some other external display.
4. Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14inch
Next on the list is the Lenovo Ideapad 3 14 inch laptop. This laptop has a bit of a smaller screen versus the previous one you see. As it is 14 inches, but it’s still 1080p.
If we take a look at its specs, that will be in charge of the gaming performance. It has a Ryzen 5 3500U, which is the previous generation of the 4500 processor. And it has the built-in Vega 8 graphics. 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram and a 256 gigabyte SSD.
You’ll find that the Vega 8 chip in this laptop will be able to run a lot of games at 1080p. And it is surprisingly good for being an iGPU. Now, unfortunately, this doesn’t include higher demand in games like Fortnite or Modern warfare. But of course, you can run lower demanding games at 1080p with mid to high settings on with 60 frames per second.
If you wanted to at least try to run games that require stronger hardware, you’d need to drop down the resolution and graphic settings to get playable frame rates. But if downscaling isn’t a big issue to you, then you might have a pretty decent experience with this Lenovo laptop.
As reports, it has 3 USB type A’s, 1 HDMI, and an SD card reader. Not the biggest selection of ports. Something to keep in mind is that this laptop does not have an ethernet port. So you’ll have to rely on your wifi connection. If you don’t have a stable signal, then this might not be the best gaming laptop under 600 dollars for you.
After all, it is the least expensive laptop on this gaming laptop under 600 dollars list. But overall a very solid laptop for its price.
3. Acer Swift 3 2020 SF314
Next on this list, I chose the 2020 Acer Swift 3 SF314. This Acer laptop has a display size of 14 inches and a screen resolution of 1080p.
As for its processor, it has the Ryzen 5 4500U which can boost to 4 gigahertz which we discussed earlier with the other laptops. Very strong CPU released in 2020 and comes with Vega 8 graphics which can run lower demanding games at 1080p 60 frames per second and higher demanding games if you drop the resolution and graphic settings.
It also has 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram and 256 gigabytes of NVMe SSD storage. This laptop is very similar to the other laptops you see in this gaming laptop under 600 dollars list, so I don’t think I need to go over it again.
This laptop does come with an HDMI cable included, so if you have an extra 1080p monitor, you totally should hook it up to this laptop when you’re gaming.
Next for ports, it has 1 USB-C, 1 USB 3.2, 1 HDMI port, and of course, 1 USB 2.0. Again it has no ethernet port, so be sure to pick up an ethernet USB adapter or just ensure you have a stable WIFI connection.
Overall a good gaming laptop under 600 dollar budget.
2. Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R9J1
Next up in the number 2 position, we have the Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R9J1. So this one has the Ryzen 7 2700U. 8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram. A 256 gigabyte SSD and a 15.6-inch screen with a full 1080p display.
Let’s talk about that CPU for starters. It has the Ryzen 7 2700U. The boost clock of 3.8 gigahertz, which comes with the Vega 10 integrated graphics.
Vega 10 is pretty decent for gaming. In-fact it is better than the Intel iris pro graphics in the last laptop we discuss. Also, this laptop has a full 1080p display that is 15 inches. So it has higher resolution and an extra 1.6 inches over the last one as well.
This laptop has 8 gigabytes of DDR4 Ram, which should be fine for gaming. And a 256 gigabyte SSD. That’s a good amount for this price.
Overall a really solid gaming laptop under 600 budget. You should be able to run games like Fortnight at around 60 frames per second at 720p resolution.
Since this integrated GPU gives you a little bit of an extra performance boost versus the Intel one. And for lower demanding games such as Minecraft, Rocket League, etc should be able to run at or around 60 frames per second at 1080p.
So for ports, we have an Ethernet port, SD card reader, 1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0s, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, and 1 HDMI port.
1. Lenovo Flex 5 14 inches 2-in-1 Laptop
Next on this list, I chose the Lenovo flex 14-inch two-in-one laptop. This is an interesting one because this isn’t your typical laptop. It’s a two-in-one. So it can fold and adapt to be a tablet if you’d like.
Its display is 14 inches and is full 1080p. As for how it’ll perform in gaming, looks pretty good. It has a Ryzen 5 4500u CPU and 16 gigabytes of DDR4 ram, which I was pretty surprised to see. It also has 256 gigabytes of SSD, which seems to be fine. That is a pretty good amount in my opinion. Especially because it’s very fast SSD storage.
So this laptop does have the same iGPU as the Acer Aspire 5 A515-44-R41B laptop on this gaming laptop under 600 dollars list. So you should expect a pretty similar performance. So pretty much it can run all lower demanding games at 1080p with 60 frames. And if you want to play something a bit higher demanding with 60 frames, you’ll likely need to downscale to 900 or 720p.
But since this laptop has 16 gigabytes of DDR4 ram versus the 8 gigabytes in Acer Aspire 5 A515-44-R41B laptop, you’ll likely get a couple more frames on average. Also, it’ll be a bit easier to multitask with this laptop since you have such plenty of memory.
Now let’s look at the ports. Unlike a lot of modern tune ones, this laptop has a lot of ports. It has 1 HDMI port, 1 USB-C, 2 USB type A’s, and an SD card reader. Just like the Lenovo Ideapad 3 laptop, this one does not have an ethernet port. So that could be problematic if you don’t have a stable WIFI connection or an ethernet USB adapter.
Regardless of that, this laptop is a steal I mean it has some serious power and features for a really good price.
Gaming Laptop under 600 dollar budget-which one should choose?
Now we’ve talked about 10 pretty similar gaming laptop under 600 dollar budget. So which one is the best for gaming? I would like to choose two laptops from this list and you can choose which one you need from these two.
1. Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R9J1
First is the Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R9J1 is one of the best gaming laptop under 600 dollars. And let me explain why.
It has the Ryzen 7 2700U with the Vega 10 integrated graphics. The Vega 10 GPU is surprisingly really good. From the performance benchmarks on all of the CPUs and their integrated graphics capabilities, it looks like the Ryzen 7 2700U is the only chip I was capable of holding on to 30 and above frames-per-second in higher demanding games.
In addition, the Acer Aspire 3 has a full 1080p 15.6-inch display. With some of the other laptops that we see so far, they didn’t have a full 1080p which is kind of disappointing especially in 2020.
Another thing I like about this laptop is you can easily swap out the SSD or RAM. So you can definitely get a slight boost and gain performance by getting more RAM or replacing the stock SSD with a faster one.
According to Acer, this laptop can hold up to 32 gigabytes of RAM. So it’s pretty good stuff upgradeability is always a huge plus.
2. Lenovo Flex 5 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop.
The second absolute best gaming laptop under 600 budget is Lenovo Flex 5 14 inch 2-in-1 laptop.
It has the Ryzen 5 4500U which has the Vega 8 graphics which is the strongest integrated GPU after Vega 10.
Besides, it has 16 gigabytes of DDR4 ram which makes this laptop not only a bit more future proof but it also will make games run a little bit faster than usual since it has more of that memory to deal with.
Also as a side note that will make multitasking a lot easier. So if you’re one of those people that like to have a ton of chrome tabs open maybe have a game running in the background plus photoshop or even render videos, these 16 gigabytes of RAM will come in clutch for that.
And of course, this is a two-in-one laptop. So it can be used as a tablet especially with the stylus that’s included with it or just a casual gaming laptop.
Gaming laptop under 600 dollars – Final words
All 10 of these laptops we discussed have their pros and cons. So you really can’t go wrong with these. After all, they are the absolute best gaming laptop under 600 dollar price range.
If the chosen laptop becomes unavailable or out of stock the other laptops discussed are still a worthy buy.
All of these computers are similar so you’ll only find a slight performance difference between these laptops. So don’t hesitate to get one other than the Acer and Lenovo, I recommend.
